Chamber Prez Judges Chef Showdown at Atria

Chamber President, Ina Fitch, was one of the celebrity judges at Chamber member Atria Briarcliff Manor’s Chef Showdown competition. The highlighted ingredient was corn. Here’s Ina (on the left) enjoying a tamale made by Steven Orientale, representing the Boy Scouts of America. In the end, the winner was Atria’s own Chef Will Urgelles, with his popcorn cookie dessert.

It’s that time of year when we prepare for our annual Memorial Day Race/Walk, which means now is your opportunity to get your company’s logo on the t-shirt worn by hundreds of people!

Being one of our coveted sponsors means exposure for your company, including your logo on race t-shirts, being mentioned in all printed materials, press materials and race day announcements, your banner hanging in the pavilion, distribution of your branded giveaways or maybe even the most coveted perk – exclusive sponsorship of the race bibs!

The sponsorship levels and related benefits are highlighted on the attached form. Please contact me if you have any questions or need additional information.

If you would prefer to be a Friends and Family Sponsor, and get your name, not you logo, on the t-shirt, I have attached that form as well.

The t-shirt is going to the printer on April 20th, so please contact me immediately so we can get your logo or name on the t-shirt!

Thanks for considering being one of our sponsors.

Sincerely,
Janet Bashford, Co-President

Briecoration: underline;”>Volunteer Drivers Needed:

RideConnect, a non-profit program of Family Services of Westchester, is an information, referral and volunteer transportation service that provides transportation services to older adults, age 60+, the disabled and home health workers in Westchester County. Our volunteer rides are provided free of charge. We take riders to places like the grocery store, the bank, the doctor, the hairdresser, etc. The number of seniors in the area is growing by leaps and bounds and many of these people can no longer drive and as such, cannot get out of their homes and remain active in their communities. Transportation counselors are available Monday through Friday from 9:00am – 5:00pm, and after hours, clients can access our website at www.RideConnectWestchester.org to request transportation service. Our dedicated staff researches all available transportation options and provides our clients with the best options available. There are no membership fees associated with RideConnect.

We are currently serving seniors in the following areas (Armonk, Bedford, Bedford Hills, Briarcliff Manor, Chappaqua, Goldens Bridge, Mount Kisco, Somers, Yorktown Heights, Cortlandt Manor, Ossining, and Croton-on-Hudson).

We are getting calls from hundreds of senior citizens and we only have 60 volunteers. As such, we are desperate for volunteer drivers.
